Terms of Service
The agreement.
These terms are a contract between you and Colmena Labs LLC, the operator of Fonte House. Signing in or subscribing means you accept them. They are written to be read. Effective June 11, 2026.
1. The service
Fonte House is a research workspace that organizes public records about foundations, grants, and donor recognition across Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New York, with tools for matching, scoring, and cultivation tracking. Accounts are personal: sign-in is by one-time email link, and you are responsible for activity under your email address.
2. Subscriptions and billing
Fonte House costs $49 per month or $490 per year, processed by Stripe. New subscriptions start with a 14-day free trial; your card is collected up front and first charged when the trial ends. You can cancel anytime from the billing portal; access continues to the end of the paid period, and partial periods are not refunded. If prices change, existing subscribers get at least 30 days' notice by email before a new price applies to them.
3. Acceptable use
Fonte House exists for one purpose: charitable fundraising prospect research. By using it you agree to all of the following, which mirror the attestation at sign-in:
No eligibility decisions. Fonte House is not a consumer reporting agency, and nothing in it is a consumer report. You may not use it to determine anyone's eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or any other purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
No redistribution. You may use what you learn in your own fundraising work, including documents for your organization or clients. You may not republish, resell, or redistribute the service's enriched data as a dataset or a competing product.
No abuse. No scraping or bulk-extracting the service, no sharing one account across an office, no probing the security of the platform, and no using it to harass anyone who appears in it.
Violations end the subscription without refund. We would rather say this plainly here than surprise anyone later.
4. The data, honestly
Everything in Fonte House comes from public records, and the compilation is provided as-is. Filings contain errors, organizations publish stale donor walls, and name-based matches (political giving, securities filings, foundation roles) can point at the wrong person with the same name. The interface flags this, and these terms repeat it: verify before you rely. We do not warrant accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.
Your own content (notes, tasks, uploads, profiles) stays yours. You give us only the license needed to store and serve it back to you. How we handle data about people is covered in the Privacy Policy, including how individuals can be removed from the research data.
5. Liability, termination, and the boring-but-important parts
To the maximum extent the law allows, Colmena Labs LLC's total liability for any claim arising out of the service is capped at the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim, and neither side is liable for indirect or consequential damages. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms; you may close your account at any time by canceling and emailing [email protected].
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Rhode Island, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stands. If we make material changes, subscribers get an email before the changes take effect, and continuing to use the service afterward is acceptance.
